Fairy Oasis subjects welcome a new arrival named Jovey, but are shocked to discover that this new fairy isn't at all what was expected. With beauty to rival even the Queen, and enough bravery to do battle as a sparrowman, Jovey seems to possess the surprisingly rare qualities of a Scout.

Gaining title to this talent puts Jovey in great peril as she strikes out against evil forces that threaten the fairies. Triumphant against a monstrous black widow spider, a vicious rattle snake, and a vile swallow tail kite, Jovey proves herself worthy, and gains the admiration of her Queen and her fairy friends.
