Wading Through Quicksand

Wading Through Quicksand is a book of poetry expressing the past, present, and hope for the future of African-Americans. History is meant to teach us to be better than we were before, and the only way we can do that is by studying the past, observing the present, and therefore having the opportunity to mold our future into greatness. Encompassing seventeen poems, this book tells stories of hope, oppression, opportunity, and struggle through many voices, places, and events.
